Shannon started practicing yoga in 2009 after her chiropractor suggested that yoga would help to strengthen her core (specifically her shoulders, back, and hips) and provide her relief from the excessive pain and suffering she felt for years due to a hereditary condition called scoliosis.
After 7 years of practicing yoga alongside Lorean and the OCY teachers and realizing the development of her physical state as well as the development of her spiritual and mental growth, she decided it was time to become a yoga healer herself, by completing her 250 hours yoga certification at OCY in 2017.
Now a teacher at OCY she enjoys helping her students achieve balance between their mind and body in a fun and playful yet adaptive Hatha Flow class styling to meet all student abilities and levels. As a dedicated student of the yoga practice, she looks to explore and evolve her yoga style and healing practices. By day, Shannon also works as an IT Project Manager.
